The $10’s donated to VFL will assist with our AZ Military Women Outreach Events which will incorporate Homeless Women Veteran Stand Downs in partnership with USVETS VIP Homeless Women Veteran Program.  The first outreach event is being planned for Kingman in September.

Our WWII Women will arrive at the US Airways Center via motorcoach provided by Corporate Transportation ‘N Tours escorted by motorcycles.  Join us on the outside concourse in front of the arena for the grand welcome.

JOIN THE ESCORT of our WWII Women Veterans from the Phoenix VA Medical Center via motorcoach to the arena.  Parking will be free on the concrete concourse around US Airways Center for motorcycles. SERVED IN WWII? 

We need your assistance in locating them to be   

recognized for the service they gave to our nation.
 

All Women who served our nation in WWII includes; Army, USMC, Navy, Coast Guard, Army Air Corps, WASP, Army and Navy Nurse Corps and Public Health Services. The non-military women volunteers that provided valuable services to our nation during the time of WAR and deserve recognition are American Red Cross, Civil Defense Volunteers and Rosie the Riveter.

 

If you know of anyone who fits any of the above categories, we would be honored for them to join their WWII Sisters for a special night of recognition and honor.  Tickets will be provided at no charge for our WWII Women to attend.

Our WWII Women Honorees will be assembling at Phoenix VA MEDICAL CTR. to be taken to Arena by motorcoach escorted by motorcycles.

 

WWII Women will be asked to meet at the VA Medical Ctr. to be taken

to US Airways Center via motorcoach and escorted by Motorcycles

 

We want the WWII Women to assemble in Building 21 at Carl T. Hayden VA Medical Center 7th St. and Indian School Rd. no later than 4:15 pm. Upon arrival at the VA they will be provided drinks and snacks prior to boarding the motorcoach at 4:45 pm. The motorcoach will leave at 5:15 pm escorted by motorcycles to US Airways Center Arena for a grand welcoming upon arrival at approximately 5:30 pm.

 

We ask that transportation be provided for them to the VA Medical Center and home after the recognition and/or game.  The pre-game recognition starts at 6:30 pm and game tip off is at 7:00 pm.  They can leave at any time they feel it necessary to do so providing transportation is available.  Assistance will be made available to help Honorees.

 

To pick up our WWII Women Honorees.  Please proceed to the south side of the Arena via Jackson St. one block south of Jefferson. There is an area to on the north side of Jackson close to south arena entrance. This is close to the seating area and the most convenient place for pick up.  Please feel free to ask for assistance, they will be close to seating area.  Jackson St. is accessible by 1st, 3rd, or 4th Streets, For a map go to www.google.com and click on maps and put in the following address 201 E. Jefferson St.  Phoenix, Arizona. You can print off the map. Arenas south entrance is almost directly north of 2nd St and Jackson St.

Parking is available on the west side of VA’s Administration Building 21 in shaded yellow area.  Building 21 is on the Northeast corner of the medical center grounds at 650 E. Indian School Road, near Montecito.  Enter at the VA Medical Center stoplight off of 7th Street and proceed north until you see the big white building with staccato columns.  Drop off is in front of Building 21 and if you need to park please park in the shaded yellow area.
